Welcome to Kitsap Martial Arts (KMA)!

If you found this page, you (or your child) is interested in martial arts or kickboxing in Kitsap County. Thank you for visiting this and spending some time getting to know our dojo.

KMA was founded in 2017 with Kids and Adult classes in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, a style of Japanese martial art that accentuates body movement and balance. The system is taught with an emphasis on self-defense and real-world applications to build strength, confidence, and discipline.

In 2022, we began our Poulsbo Kickboxing program with a daily schedule of cardio kickboxing classes. Kickboxing is a fun, full-body workout that builds strength, stamina, and agility.  As offered at KMA, these classes are accessible to every body, no matter their age or fitness level.

At KMA, we work to foster a sense of community and accomplishment among our students. We ask students to challenge themselves (they’re often capable of so much more than they think—especially the adults!), but we never want to make anyone uncomfortable by throwing them into situations they aren’t ready for. Whether for kids or adults, our classes are structured so every student benefits, no matter their age, belt rank, or ability.

Through the dojo, we also encourage our students to be involved in the community, participating in various events or volunteer work. We aim to not only be a great place to train, but also a good neighbor to this place we call home.

If you have any questions about KMA, our training philosophy, the art we study, or anything else related to the dojo, please drop us a line. We look forward to hearing from you!
